Rush Student Living

love love love living here at rush! I always feel safe and never worry about there being a problem Rush won’t fix. The staff are super nice and and they communicate well. The amenities are great + we have food trucks very often. All of my friends that come visit from other student living areas are always amazed at how nice Rush is. For my first two years , I stayed on campus then for my third year decided to stay here and it was a great decision.

I’ve lived at Rush for a year now and have had an absolutely amazing experience thus far. The units are very nice and spacious and anytime we’ve had an issue it has been quickly resolved. Not to mention how convenient the short walk to campus is. Amenities at Rush are what sold me when I toured and I can say I definitely made the right decision! You will not regret living here!

I’ve lived in Rush for two years. I have nothing but good things to say. I love the people that live on my floor and they’re super friendly along with the management team. The amenities are great and the pool is a place to meet new people over the summer. I also liked the fact that Rush always bring new food trucks to try out and free stuff up for grabs.

Rush Apartments was my first, off campus experience, which to be fair has been pretty good. A parking garage, pool, vending machines, valet trash, and close proximity to the campus are all amazing things I have used here. Where my 5 star goes to a 4 star is the overall, broader, experience at Rush. There are times that the halls look terribly dirty, there are times where there are cockroaches, there are times that mold starts to grow from your AC, there are times that your neighbors enjoy load music, and finally and most annoyingly there are times that people pull the fire alarm. If you want a true off campus independent experience, Rush is great it teaches you many of the things that "could" happen in your own home, this time you have help from the on site mechanics and great staff. No complaints about management or people working there.

Cockroaches in the apartments. Constant internet outages. Regular fire alarms. They have known about the cockroach infestation for almost a year and have taken no steps to prevent it. Other residents were told they would have to pay out of pocket for an exterminator themselves. Guest parking is impossible to find and your guests will have to walk a far distance from a nearby parking lot or risk being towed by the apartments every time they come over unless school is out. Rent increases by 50-100 a year. Maintenance comes into your apartment just to “check your drawers can open,” a blatant violation of privacy and a twist on the wordings in their lease. Not even bothering to cover it by inspecting other parts of the house, just running in and opening all of your drawers and leaving, which they find more important than dealing with the roach problem. Update: Three weeks later and while they’ve provided a spray inside my one apartment, there have been no announcements on actions taken for resolving the infestation throughout the rest of the apartments. I made it clear that spraying just my apartment works for now, but the roaches would be back within a couple of months if further steps to remove the building-wide infestation were not taken.

All the staff and maintenance workers at Rush are awesome and always have the residents back, especially the manager Pamela. Pamela went to battle for me to get a towing issue resolved, and the maintenance workers have always come to help the same day I put in a request. The girls that work the front desk are always super nice and friendly as well and always willing to help if they can. Any of the problems or negative reviews you hear about Rush you will find at ANY student living complex, and as a senior I've been to them all so I can confidently say this. Rush is also the closest and most convenient off campus apartment in my opinion. I can walk to most of my classes in 5 minutes.
